IFL mapping team An alliance of research and non-governmental ecological organizations known as the IFL Mapping Team is constantly improving and updating the Intact Forest Landscapes dataset. The following organizations contributed to the year 2000 IFL mapping and 2000-2013 map update: Greenpeace Created the original IFL concept together with WRI and lead the mapping initiative Global Forest Watch, a network initiated by the World Resources Institute Created the original IFL concept together with Greenpeace, supported map production, update, and presentation Transparent World Performed IFL mapping for extensive regions University of Maryland, Department of Geographical Sciences Coordinate IFL mapping and validation WWF Russia Supported the IFL map update Luonto Liitto (Finnish Nature League), Forest Watch Indonesia, and other regional NGO Provided local map validation and feedback We greatly appreciate help from remote sensing data interpretation specialists, GIS technicians and regional experts who provided invaluable knowledge and assistance in the development and validation of the IFL dataset.
